I facilitate taking small groups of no more than around ten people maximum, on Sketching Workshop Adventures in Peru and Ireland.
What do you mean by the phrase 'Sketching Workshop Adventure'?
It's about learning how to Draw and Sketch whilst at the same time having an adventure. The emphasis on sketching opens up the possibility of getting out and about. Formal drawing or painting, tends to take a lot of time stuck in one location. Sketches free us up to move around more, to travel by foot, boat, minibus whatever, and explore amazing possibilities in an incredible environment. It gives us lot's of excuses to make 'mistakes' and to have a creative blast in the process - all while learning to draw and paint. Sketching is so exciting and a load of fun!
Overview
I strike a careful balance between comfort and being fully immersed in the experience. Between tuition and getting out and about. I don't create an artificial 'comfort bubble' but ensure instead that you are connected throughout the Journey with the experience. We explore the towns, travel the rivers by boat, walk the jungle trails, sleep in some of the villages along the way and also camp out in the jungle. (Tents etc supplied). If you want you can also swim, fish and go on a night alligator spotting trip on the river! There is a lot to see, do, explore and of course to sketch. Make sure you also bring your camera and a journal!
